About our client:
An independent co-educational day school for boys and girls aged 2 to 16 years based at the site since 1850.
The role:
Possible start date: ASAP
Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4pm
Total working hours: 37.5
Main purpose of the role:
To provide administrative support, including data-entry and financial administrative work for the Principal and Academic staff at the Senior and Upper Prep site.
What you will do in your working day:
- Dealing with the invoicing of parents.
- Answering telephone enquiries from prospective parents, current parents, press, public and other educational establishments.
- Assistance to staff, including dealing with their requests for orders.
- Dealing with pupils on a day-to-day basis in the School Office.
- Dealing with queries from parents.
- Entering data onto Sage.
- Promoting the School through telephone enquiries and personal contact with parents and general public.
- Administration of manual ledgers.
- Additional duties as required by the Headteacher within the context of the post.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Pupil admissions
- Invoicing
- Petty Cash
- Bookkeeping
The training you will receive:
- Level 3 Accounts qualification.
- All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes.
- Functional skills in English and Mathematics, if required.
Prospects:
- Within this role, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent position and/or further train to become a qualified accountant.
