Are you an experienced and qualified accountant looking for a dynamic role in a growing, investor-backed business? We are seeking a skilled Group Financial Controller to oversee the full accounting function for our client's diverse group of entities.
Day to day you will maintain accurate accounting records while managing month-end and year-end processes, oversee cash flow management, payments, and intercompany recharges, ensuring statutory compliance for VAT. Manage debt, develop comprehensive management accounts, handle payroll, and company secretarial duties. You will also act as the primary contact for audits and tax matters and as well as preparing statutory accounts.
Candidate Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must have:
- A qualified accountant status.
- Preferably previous experience as a Financial Controller (or in a No.2 role) within a VC/PE/Investor-backed business.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively under strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a small team effectively.
- Good IT skills.
Due to the nature of the business, experience in audit, risk, or compliance is essential.
