We are on the lookout for a Senior Business Development manager, located anywhere between the Midlands and Yorkshire, to expand our business footprint in the Midlands and Northern region.

About the Role

As a pivotal player at First Response Group, you will be instrumental in driving our future growth by securing new and lucrative contracts. Your responsibilities will encompass proactive sales initiatives, fostering relationships with our existing clients, engaging in competitive tendering, and capitalising on reactive opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and cultivate profitable new business opportunities through market research and strategic planning.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with existing and potential customers to build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive tenders, PQQs, RFIs, and other relevant documentation to secure new contracts.
  • Target and acquire clients across both the private and public sectors, tailoring approaches to meet specific needs.
  • Network proactively with potential customers at industry events, conferences, and through social media platforms to expand the client base.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of quotations, proposals, and other necessary paperwork to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient sales database to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Achieve and surpass individual sales targets, providing regular progress reports directly to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Possess advanced negotiation skills with the experience and credibility to engage effectively at senior levels, both internally and externally.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to travel, accommodating the needs of clients and business opportunities across various regions.
  • Showcase strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and client requirements.
  • Display a proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Exhibit a high level of organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
