Production Manager - Day Shift - 4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern
We are proud to partner with one of the UK's most creative and fast-growing Cosmetics brands who are in search of a Production Manager to oversee their Production Facility during Day Shifts. If you are passionate about leading teams and optimizing production processes, with a background in Hands on Production work within the FMCG indutry this could be the perfect role for you!
What is expected of you?
- Supervising a team of 10-20 operators, providing motivation, leadership, and direction.
- Being responsible for the end to end Production of products, including ensuring production downtime is minimised and being able to problem solve independently.
- Actively working on the production line when needed and training new staff to improve processes.
- Managing workflow across the site, including goods in, manufacturing, packing stations, and dispatch.
- Maintaining stock accuracy through regular audits and day-to-day controls.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and attendance.
- Adapting to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment as the business scales.
As a successful SME going through sustained growth, it is essential that the Production Manager is a hugely proactive individual who will lead from the front and provide the following experience -
- Proven experience on a production line and moving through the ranks to a leadership position (Production Supervisor, Production Manager or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing teams of operators between 10 and 50 people - showing leadership qualities and proven staff development.
- Ability to understand, use, and discuss data, such as KPIs.
- Initiative and drive to solve problems and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous improvement of production processes and increased volume outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
