Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work both in our Charfield office and remotely. You will be part of a well-established team, contributing to various projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural Analysis and Design: Perform structural analysis of a range of structures, predominantly steel, but incorporating elements of other materials. Lattice tower analysis also forms part of our service. Use of software to assess frames, connections and FEA.
  • Technical Drawings and Specifications: Prepare detailed structural calculations with sketches, and produce design specifications.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site surveys for structural inspections.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including surveyors, CAD Technicians and other structural engineers, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design and construction issues promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related field).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural design engineering.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in frame analysis software and structural analysis tools such as: Tekla, TEDS. Must have good knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must be proficient at writing technical reports.
  • Certifications: IStructE or ICE Chartership or working towards, desirable but not mandatory.
