Accounts Assistant

My client, a large Financial Consultancy are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team. This role is crucial in supporting the company's growth and recent acquisitions. Day to Day of the role:
- Input supplier bills and expenses into the accounting system for multiple entities in various currencies.
- Review and approve employee expenses, ensuring they are imported into the accounting system from the expense management system.
- Monitor payables to ensure timely payment and resolve supplier queries promptly.
- Build and maintain excellent supplier relationships to resolve issues quickly.
- Prepare payment runs for multiple entities in various currencies and enter them into the system.
- Assist with the credit control process and process customer invoices, credit notes, and payments.
- Proactively ensure customers pay on time and resolve any invoice queries.
- Build excellent client relationships to facilitate timely debt recovery.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable, follow up on invoices coming payable, and those overdue for payment.
- Liaise with consultants to ensure all debtors are recovered promptly.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and, as the role develops, prepare Overhead journals and associated balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in collecting Consultants' timesheets and maintain financial records.
- Provide general assistance to the finance team, including reporting, audit, and other ad hoc projects.
- Support other business operations areas as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and/or general ledger.
- First-class communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- A team player mentality with a focus on team achievement.
- Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead.
- Business language fluency in English.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
