Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Goods In/Out Operative to manage inventory, kitting processes, and ensure the efficient flow of materials within our production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of stock control, a valid FLT Certificate and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check that all received items match the delivery note and promptly locate parts in the designated stock locations.
  • Locate internally manufactured parts in stock or directly onto kitting trolleys as required.
  • Maintain accuracy of stock locations and updates in the Datawright ERP system.
  • Where feasible, kit sales orders together and track the process from stores to manufacturing.
  • Ensure accurate completion of Process Cards and provide other necessary manufacturing documentation for kitted sales orders.
  • Move fully kitted sales orders to the relevant manufacturing locations.
  • Maintain non-stores stock locations, perform stock checks, and ensure stock is accurately recorded in Datawright.
  • Conduct routine and annual stock checks, as well as spot checks as required.
  • Handle material movement, including waste and pallets, as needed.
  • Organize transport and despatch parts to subcontract suppliers with accurate and timely paperwork.
  • Arrange collection and delivery of sub-contracted parts, such as plated components.
  • Ensure procedures are followed in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, including the Goods In and Despatch yard.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all tasks are carried out using the appropriate tools and documentation.

  • Attention to Detail ensuring accuracy in stock management and kitting processes.
  • Communication, Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and team collaboration.
  • Stock Control Expertise having experience in managing inventory using the Datawright ERP system.
  • Organization Skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Initiative & Independence being able to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions.
  • Work Under Pressure being capable of managing time-sensitive tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
