Finance Director

We are seeking a Finance Director with a strong background in construction and project accounting to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial management within the construction sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee financial operations and guide strategic financial decisions for ongoing construction projects.
- Implement and manage project accounting systems and processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial practices align with organisational goals.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to optimise financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the construction industry.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong background in project accounting and financial management of large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to strategise and solve problems efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant financial qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
