Accounts Payable Assistant

  • 3-month fixed term contract
  • Salary up to £24K
  • Location: Sunderland (3 days a week required in the office, 2 days from home)

T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant for this leading national Company. The business will support hybrid working and are currently working 3 days week in the office, 2 days at home. This role is initially offered as a 3-month fixed term contract until the end of September.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader as Accounts Payable Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • High volume purchase invoice and credit note processing
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Provide a reliable, accurate and timely service in response to all supplier and invoice enquiries
  • Deliver outstanding levels of customer service for all operating companies and suppliers
  • Proactively reduce the quantity of price and quantity variances, query and investigate any variances with purchasing, stores and suppliers.
  • General administrative tasks
  • Support wider team during month end process

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Ideally some experience in an accounts payable/ purchase ledger role within a sizeable business however full training will be given
  • Good IT/ data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Oracle experience preferred
  • Work well as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively from home
