For our new Estate Grounds and Properties Supervisor, we are currently seeking a dedicated individual who will be reporting directly to our Estate Manager. This position requires a proactive and hands-on approach to overseeing the maintenance of the Manor Estate, with occasional travel to other locations as necessary.
Candidates must possess physical fitness and hold a valid UK driving license.
The responsibility of the Estates Supervisor will be varied on a day to day basis and would include:
- Maintaining the grounds and properties to the highest standards
- Providing leadership and direction to a small team of maintenance personnel
- Coordinating with external contractors as needed
- Occasionally assuming key holder responsibilities and responding to estate emergencies outside of regular working hours
- Working effectively, operating and maintaining plant machinery, including chainsaws
- Using and ensuring great maintenance of mowers and garden machinery
Ideally, you'll have experience in Estate or Landscaping work previously as alongside the above it would be fantastic if you had some of the following:
- Basic proficiency in plumbing and electrical repairs
- Experience in weed management, including relevant certifications (P1 and P6 spraying)
We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and who are committed to upholding the standards of our estate. This is a full-time position with training provided.
Hours of work would be Monday to Friday usually with a degree of flexibility required in case of emergency.
