AML Quality Assurance Analyst | Northwich | Hybrid | 12 month Contract | up to £50,000

Are you passionate about combating financial crime? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset? Join our dynamic AML team and help us ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations. We are looking for a talented AML Analyst to support our efforts in identifying and mitigating financial crime risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform transaction monitoring.
  • Investigate financial crime risks on client accounts using publicly available sources and specialist databases.
  • Conduct first-line QA monitoring of new accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening.
  • Provide AML subject matter expertise across the business.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assist in writing and updating procedure documents.
  • Support training and implementation of new processes to enhance the quality of CDD reviews.
  • Stay updated on the latest AML developments and financial crime trends.
  • Aid investment managers with periodic reviews, SOW, risk assessments, and information gathering.
  • Assist with periodic reviews, trigger events, BAU tasks, and other ad-hoc projects.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations and guidance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactive and capable of self-managing workload and deadlines.
  • Ability to identify financial crime concerns in client accounts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Experience in PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening.
  • Understanding of trust, corporate, and offshore structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is advantageous.
  • Preferably experienced in transaction monitoring.
  • Experience within investment or wealth management is a plus.
  • Relevant qualification in Financial Crime (e.g., ICA) is preferred.
  • A law degree or similar qualification is desirable.
