AML Quality Assurance Analyst | Northwich | Hybrid | 12 month Contract | up to £50,000

Join our dynamic AML team and help us ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations. We are looking for a talented AML Analyst to support our efforts in identifying and mitigating financial crime risks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transaction monitoring.
- Investigate financial crime risks on client accounts using publicly available sources and specialist databases.
- Conduct first-line QA monitoring of new accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening.
- Provide AML subject matter expertise across the business.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Assist in writing and updating procedure documents.
- Support training and implementation of new processes to enhance the quality of CDD reviews.
- Stay updated on the latest AML developments and financial crime trends.
- Aid investment managers with periodic reviews, SOW, risk assessments, and information gathering.
- Assist with periodic reviews, trigger events, BAU tasks, and other ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations and guidance.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive and capable of self-managing workload and deadlines.
- Ability to identify financial crime concerns in client accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively across all levels of the business.
- Experience in PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening.
- Understanding of trust, corporate, and offshore structures.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is advantageous.
- Preferably experienced in transaction monitoring.
- Experience within investment or wealth management is a plus.
- Relevant qualification in Financial Crime (e.g., ICA) is preferred.
- A law degree or similar qualification is desirable.
