SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Sales & Sales Admin team within this unique family run business. The role attracts a solid basic salary of circa £40,000 and good incentive scheme for the right person.

The company is a unique and growing specialist manufacturer of bespoke and prestige motorhomes based at Knottingley near Leeds / Wakefield, West Yorkshire. They provide revolutionary designs which have won many accolades by converting panel vans with bespoke fixtures and fittings into luxury motorhomes.

This is a full-time role (Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm) with the requirement to work alternate weekends via a rota & occasionally at Motorhome Shows.

You will be responsible for managing the Sales & Sales Admin departments consisting currently of 5 staff in total – 3 in Sales & 2 in Sales Admin. Specifically, this will include :

  • Recording & management of sales enquiries.
  • Taking responsibility for the website, marketing/advertising and promotions.
  • Overseeing management of indoor & outdoor shows.
  • Responsibility for presentation of the Motorhome Showroom and Forecourt.
  • Setting sales targets and managing performance (including your own sales / handover targets).
  • Provision of reports detailing sales enquiries received and the sales pipeline.
  • Review of sales deals and sign-off (with MD & FD).
  • Review, management and improvement of the process and paperwork involved in taking an order through to the delivery of a motorhome.
  • Overseeing / managing new and used motorhome handovers to customers.
  • Undertaking staff appraisals for the Sales and Sales Administration staff.

To be successful in this role you must have a solid and demonstrable track record in effectively managing teams within a sales function – this experience may have been gained in any industry / sector, however a proactive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach is essential.

Other skills and experience required include:

  • Experience of marketing or advertising and understanding of online and offline product promotion.
  • Commercial acumen allied to excellent communication skills
  • A detail orientated & organised approach
  • Financially astute
  • IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to inspire & motivate people
  • A desire to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Clean (ish) driving licence
