My client is offering a unique opportunity for an Account assistant to join our dedicated and passionate team based in central London on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with financial and management reporting for our organisation and its trading arm.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Accurately record retail revenue daily and reconcile retail sales transactions using various payment platforms.
- Ensure the cash float is replenished and banked weekly, and investigate any missing sales transactions.
- Raise sales invoices and credit notes for various services, ensuring timely payment from clients.
- Manage customer refunds
- Process stock invoices and prepare weekly payment runs, including assisting with BACS runs.
- Perform regular statement reconciliations for all suppliers and resolve any queries, maintaining good supplier relationships.
- Reconcile bank accounts, raise journals for intercompany transactions, and ensure the stock system aligns with the accounting system.
- Collect and prepare various donations for posting and assist the team with ad hoc projects or duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT level 3 qualified or higher is desired but not essential
- Experience with sales ledger, purchase ledger, and general ledger management
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and suppliers.
