Commercial Development Executive / Account Executive
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £35,000-£50,000+ with good company benefits and package - DOE
The Company:
We are working with a long standing and reputable Insurance Broker in the Cardiff area. They have a strong commercial and personal lines book of business, dealing with micro enterprises up to global corporate's, operating out of several countries worldwide.
They have strong ties with Lloyd's and specialist Insurers plus a variety of exclusive deals and arrangements with London Insurers.
This Broker is looking to grow and hire a Development Executive or Account Executive to join their close-knit commercial division.
The Role:
This is a unique role incorporating several responsibilities and can offer possible flexibility in the role, subject to the candidate's experience and requirements.
You will be client facing and new business focused in this role and whilst you will likely inherit a small book of business and get access to an introducer referral network with schemes facility, there is a need to self-generate and be proactive in developing new business.
This is a superb role for anyone who has new business interest within commercial insurance. This could offer a fantastic step up for a junior new business professional or a refreshing role for a seasoned commercial account executive who is looking for a new challenge and home for their expertise.
The Required Skills:
Experience in a similar commercial insurance new business role, from an account handler, sales or suitable background
Experience in face to face client meetings and sales
Knowledge across Personal Lines, SME to mid Corporate Insurance would be preferable
An interest in Sports, Media or the Leisure industry would be preferable
CII qualifications are preferable
Good communication, negotiation, and sales skills
