We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Potters Bar area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to a dynamic Humanities department from September 2024.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Humanities lessons that stimulate and challenge students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to excel.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and devise individualised strategies to support learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to refine and enhance the Humanities curriculum, integrating contemporary teaching methods and resources.
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and guardians to bolster student well-being and academic performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Humanities or a related field.
- Experience in teaching Humanities, with a comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive stance on reflective practice.
