Job Title: Process Development Engineer (Electro-Mech Specialist CFD)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer with specialized expertise in CFD flow modelling and catheter manufacturing on behalf of a Global Medical Device Company. This role is critical for setting up hardware and products, understanding flow dynamics, and working on aerospace flow applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting up production lines, electro-mechanical catheters with sensors, and a strong background in sensors and electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and configure hardware and products for CFD flow modelling applications.
  • Understand and analyse flow dynamics, particularly in aerospace and medical contexts.
  • Design and set up production lines for electro-mechanical catheters, including those with integrated sensors.
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to develop prototypes and ensure seamless transition to production.
  • Utilize a wide variety of skill sets, including electronics, mechanical engineering, and flow dynamics.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production processes.
  • Conduct benchmarking and evaluations of products and processes to ensure best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on electro-mechanical engineering and CFD flow modelling.
  • Relevant degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering

Essential:

  • Strong technical ability in sensors, electronics, and flow dynamics.
  • Understanding of documentation requirements from R&D and process validation.
  • Ability to create prototypes and understand the electrical and mechanical aspects of catheter equipment.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience with laser technologies and welding is a plus.
