A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated truck sales leader to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of this leading, premium brand commercial vehicle distributor. Our client is one of the UK's foremost HGV/LCV specialists, a highly successful and growing £100m+ subsidiary of a major Group, with a long-standing reputation for the supply and service of market leading products, great people and the provision of world class customer service. With a multi-site network from Lincolnshire to Buckinghamshire, the business holds a commanding position and is well placed to deliver exceptional products and services to an impressive list of blue-chip clients. There is significant potential for future growth and therefore a dynamic Head of Sales is sought to optimise this market potential and take the truck sales division to the next level.

Reporting to the Managing Director and with full P&L responsibility, your key focus will be to:-

  • Oversee all aspects of the sales division, including setting targets, developing strategies and leading an experienced sales team across the multi-site network
  • Ensure the truck sales division achieves revenue, margin and unit sales objectives in line with budget expectations
  • Develop capability and skills within the team utilising effective training, coaching and mentoring
  • Work closely with the manufacturer, developing a relationship which enhances and optimises business performance
  • Represent the company and the brand to the highest level of professionalism both internally and externally
  • Enhance market penetration through the development of innovative marketing and promotional activities
  • Maintain effective control of costs and expenses in line with budget objectives

We are looking for an ambitious, high achieving sales leader, with a great track record of managing teams in a multi-site HGV retail/fleet environment. You may currently be a Head of Sales, or perhaps an aspiring Sales Manager looking for your next exciting career challenge. Either way, your success will be built upon your first-class sales and people management capability, driving your team to exceed target objectives whilst ensuring the customer experience is of the highest level. Commercially and financially astute, and with excellent relationship building, communication and influencing skills, you will be comfortable leading from the front, with the presence, drive and enthusiasm to achieve great things for you and your team.
