Page Personnel are seeking a Management Accountant for a Chester based business who will be responsible for managing financial activities of a smaller entity in a larger group. This a great opportunity for an individual to develop their financial management experience within a group structure. Reporting to the Head of Finance, they will be a key member of the team ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the financial reporting for the business.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Managing the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts including P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflow, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff.
  • Analysing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk.
  • Analysing market trends and competitors.
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Working with the wider finance team to guide and implement efficiencies & encourage self-sufficient team.
  • Assist in the annual statutory reporting and year end audit process as required by the HOF.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Highly proficient Excel user (pivot & look up tables, modelling financial data etc)
  • Excellent strategic planning and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of business financials and reporting processes.
  • Extremely organised, able to meet deadlines and manage workload.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Professional accreditation in Accounting & Finance.
