Assistant Management Accountant-6mth FTC- Media- £40-45k pro rata- 3 days- City of London

Talentedge are actively recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on a 6mth fixed term contract for a leading Entertainment agency based in the City of London. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office per week and a salary of £40-£45k pro rata. Applicants must be available for an IMMEDIATE start

Duties include:

  • Month End Ledger Close - Closing all ledgers (Sales, Purchase, General Ledger) including revaluation journals
  • Checking bank reconciliations for material error or omission
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for month end including but not limited to trade debtors & creditors, VAT, cash, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals
  • Reviewing of inter-production balances & reconciliations with productions
  • Facilitating various company recharges to/from production on a periodic basis
  • Preparing Quarterly VAT returns
  • Participating in ad hoc management information data preparation
  • Supporting senior accountants with process improvements and month-end close
  • Contributing to shortening month-end close processes
  • Treasury admin - open and close bank accounts as instructed
  • 1st release of weekly payment runs and transfers in Barclays
  • Process payment on Barclays to aid working capital
  • Assist Financial Accountants with managing working capital and bank balances

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, appetite for responsibility and be able to work autonomously. They must have/be:

  • Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA
  • 2 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting softwares
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to develop relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels and challenge where necessary
