Specialist criminal law firm based in Hounslow have an opening for a full-time crime paralegal. This is a permanent role with good career prospects with support to become police station accredited and potentially a training contract at a future date depending on the candidate.
Role involves:
- Opening files
- Liaising with clients and fee-earners and other relevant parties
- Arranging telephone calls with clients to book appointments and provide updates
- Case preparation under supervision
- Helping to complete legal aid applications under supervision
- Day to day assistance to the fee-earners with their caseloads
- Ad hoc admin duties as needed
Required skills and qualification:
- Law degree - ideally 2:1 or higher
- At least 6 to 12 months paralegal experience in criminal law
- Completion of LPC a bonus but not essential
- Police station accreditation a bonus but not essential
