Role Overview:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEND.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of students.
- Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and report on student progress.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEND.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEND support (preferred but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
