Junior Data Analyst

An opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing business located in Essex has arisen as a Junior Data Analyst. The role sits within the Management Information team, assisting with management of data and reporting requirements the team are responsible for on behalf of the company. It's a mainly remote based role, however potential candidates will likely live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Essex area as some office visits will be required.

The client is looking for a candidate for the Junior Data Analyst role who's analytical, enjoys problem solving, pays great attention to detail, is flexible, can show initiative and driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously identify areas for improvement and provide potential solutions to the company and reduce costs.
  • Delivering good outcomes for customers and putting the customers' interests first.
  • Support the department with system and reporting processes.
  • Liaising with various departments and stakeholders to develop and maintain reporting requirements.
  • Liaising with departments to improve data capture efficiency.
  • Production of key month-end reports
  • Assist with the extraction, transformation and loading of data from data sources into the database structure.

  • Knowledge of data related programming languages, specifically MS SQL.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Ability to generate reports and dashboards via SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI
  • Excellent Excel Skills

Experience

  • Minimum 1 years' UK based relevant data analyst experience
  • Experience in working with SSMS, SSRS and Power BI
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services advantageous
  • Experience with Power Automate and Microsoft Forms advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Strong mathematics background
  • BA Degree or equivalent qualification
