We are currently seeking a Construction Managing Associate to join our client's prestigious law firm. With their strong reputation in the market and high calibre client base, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your legal career, within contentious construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Advising clients on construction contracts, negotiations, and dispute resolution to minimise risks and ensure project success
- Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing expert legal opinions on construction-related matters
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to identify legal issues and develop effective solutions
- Assisting with preparing cases, attending court hearings, and representing clients in construction litigation matters
Requirements:
- 6 PQE+ in practice within Contentious Construction, within a well regarded firm
- Solid understanding of construction law, including contract formation, construction defects, liens, and insurance claims
- Experience in drafting and negotiating construction contracts and managing construction-related disputes
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
