Our client based in Slimbridge is looking for an immediately available Finance Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month interim assignment. The individual will work closely with various departments as business partners, providing financial guidance, supporting strategic planning, and driving process improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making across the business.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
The person:
- Must be immediately available or on short notice
- Qualified Accountant or QBE
- Experience in a similar role
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software
- Ability to multi task and prioritise tasks effectively
- Pro-active attitude and ability to work as a member team
