Senior Children Residential Support Worker

The Senior Practitioner's role is to lead the residential practitioner team which supports, encourage and safeguards children and young people in their development, enabling them to make positive contributions to their families, society and local communities.

We are looking for residential support workers for Leeds City Council supporting young people placed in the care system or children with disabilities.

As a residential support worker, you will provide the highest standards of care to the young people aged between 10 -18 years.

you will support the children in a homely environment to meet their individual needs and overcome their challenges preparing them to live full and happy lives

This is on-going for several weeks and would suit people looking for top up or casual work.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care and support to young people aged 10-18 years in a homely environment.
  • Overcome challenges and meet individual needs to prepare young people for fulfilling lives.
  • Act as a positive role model and corporate parent.

Requirements:

  • Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
  • Experience in residential childcare or similar
  • Ability to maintain high standards of care.
