£60,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Progression + Hybrid + 33 Days Holiday + Pension + Relocation Package if required
Are you from a complex Mechanical Design background looking for an exciting new challenge to start an autonomous role overseeing the design of cutting edge and innovative machinery?

Based in South Wales, this company are among the most exciting manufacturers in the UK and have been consistent in their success since the start. Having won multiple awards and achieved international recognition for their unique and innovative products they have recently seen an exciting period of growth. They are introducing a brand new, state of the art production line so due to this expansion they are looking to bring in a Design Manager to help oversee the in house team.
In this role you will be leading a small, close-knit design team responsible for the design and optimisation of a new state of the art manufacturing line. You will work to maximise reliability and quality of the production line whilst integrating safety regulations and controls into the inherent design. This is a permanent position and there will be plenty of ongoing project work, including designing a similar line to be installed at a facility overseas and a brand new product launch that is still in development.
This is the ideal role for someone from a special purpose machinery or complex machinery background looking to work in an autonomous role for one of the most exciting manufacturers in the UK.
THE ROLE:
- Managing a small design team
- Overseeing the design of a brand new manufacturing line
- Ongoing optimisation and reliability improvements
- Design using SolidWorks
THE PERSON:
- Experience using Solidworks or similar 3D CAD package
- Background designing special purpose machinery or complex manufacturing lines
- Supervisory or Management experience
- Knowledge of CE Marking and machine safety regulation
