Development Finance & Planning Manager

Stonewater is committed to growth through the Development programme and strategic initiatives. We're now seeking a Development Finance & Planning Manager to join our Business Planning team and analyse and support the financial performance of the Development programme, for business plan impact and scheme level performance.

This role will provide support and challenge to the Development directorate/programme with the assessment of Development scheme appraisals and completion of post-development scheme reviews. Additionally, you will ensure development schemes, and the whole development programme, achieves Stonewater's value for money ideals and meet appraisal requirements. You will ensure a high quality Finance business partnering service is delivered to internal customers, which includes providing financial information for the Development directorate, financial advice and support in commercial decision making and the growth of the business, in order to initiate and develop solutions to satisfy changing needs of customers. You will identify risks (such as contractor risk and exposure) and opportunities within the Development programme and create programme modelling to support decision making.

You will also take responsibility for the reconciliation of cashflows between Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations and Pamwin and the production of Stonewater's Development cashflow to provide analysis of individual development schemes, and the overall programme. You will prepare timely, accurate and relevant monthly management accounts, annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the Development directorate and ensure timely submission of results to the Development Leadership and Management teams.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a strong, collaborative team player.
  • Be a part qualified finalist with relevant finance experience.
  • Have good knowledge and experience of development appraisals, development finance, business partnering, and business planning, ideally with working knowledge of Pamwin and Brixx.
  • Have excellent Microsoft Excel and system skills.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills (presentation and report writing).
  • Have confident business partnering skills.
  • Have a good understanding of finance in the Social Housing sector.
  • Have a logical, analytical business mind.

Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
