Our client based in Birmingham are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, CAD/CAM Manager to join their established team. The successful candidate will represent the business through excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a project-based environment. This is an exciting "hands on" opportunity for someone looking to join a company experiencing rapid growth. You will be influential in the investment into CAM software.

CAD/CAM Manager's Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engineering drawings and programs with the use of CAD/CAM software considering current fixtures and tooling.
  • Set work and approve programmes with production.
  • Liaise with other departments to develop and improve methods manufacturing.
  • Creating digital information folders for production staff to use during the manufacturing process.

CAD/CAM Manager Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with different levels of staff. Confident and able to train experience people in new ways to work to improve efficiencies.
  • Ability to establish and maintain digital documentation systems.
  • Set & programme CNC milling machines (currently 12 machines, with additional 5 axis on order). Knowledge of XYZ Siemens Controls preferable or other mainstream software.
  • Experience of 3 / 4 and 5 axis machinery
  • Able to improve processes and production capacity.
  • Extensive CAD/CAM experience with software packages such Autodesk Fusion 360.
  • Excellent organisational, numeracy and computer literacy skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Metal Industry and CNC / Milling Machine background essential
