Fixed Asset Finance Assistant

A Fixed Asset Finance Assistant is required to join an established organisation on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for the control and maintenance of the property fixed asset registers and other fixed assets record keeping. The successful candidate will have good numeracy skills, the ability to spot and resolve anomalies and strong communication and relationship building skills.

Hybrid working is available however there will be a requirement to be in an office to suit the business needs.

Fixed Asset Finance Assistant duties:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of the property and other fixed asset ledgers
  • Process property additions and disposals as advised by Development Fixed Asset Accountant.
  • Process component replacements
  • Create monthly depreciation entries for review and processing
  • Prepare monthly component accrual entries for review and processing
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for housing and other fixed assets, for all group companies
  • Identify any "other" fixed assets for serviced charge purposes
  • Reconcile housing stock
  • Provide the highest quality service incorporating best standards and practice and work to continually improve the standards.
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required within the Fixed Asset team.

Fixed Asset Finance Assistant experience and qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE Standard (or equivalent), including passes in English and Maths.
  • Desire to continuing professional development.
  • Reasonable level of IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to spot, challenge and resolve anomalies.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships with all levels of staff and outside organisations.
  • Excellent team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to be able to prioritise workload, and make sure that routine processes happen.
