Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role, is offered as a premium partnership with Pareto whereby you will be given a mixture of sales & technical training across your first 12 months in role. The role is paired up with an investment in the ITTSA (IT Technical Sales Apprenticeship) which is a professional qualification in sales, demonstrating how much Trustmarque values empowering individuals with their development and training whilst in role.

You will spend 1 day per week focused on obtaining your professional qualification, whilst learning vital skills needed for the role from our amazing team. The other 4 days will be based in our York office working alongside your great new team!

You will be at the forefront of the ever-evolving world of technology. You will work with the best experts and specialists in the industry to deliver cutting-edge products and solutions. You will be responsible for sparking an initial relationship with clients, calling existing clients to maximise business and be instrumental in owning the all-important first step in the sales process. It's all about understanding their challenges and providing tailored solutions that will truly make a difference in their business'. The role is dynamic and fast paced and you will be part of a team who are focused on driving growth and expanding the company's reach in the market. It's all about learning to make tactical decisions, identifying new business opportunities, and working towards achieving sales and KPI targets.

You will have access to coaching sessions, weekly 1-2-1's and will have support on hand to help you learn the skills needed to be a successful sales professional.

What you'll be doing:

  • Booking Meetings: Outbound sales outreach through a multi-channel approach of cold calls, campaign calls, emails, social outreach and networking to book meetings for Sales Account Managers in the Commercial and Public Sector sales teams.
  • Business Development: Identify new opportunities for growth through engagement with a range of prospects and establishing genuine relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Sales Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the sales teams and other internal stakeholders to develop account-specific sales plans and strategies. Set ambitious sales targets (KPI and GM based), develop action plans, and monitor progress towards achieving sales objectives. Work in tandem with the Account Managers/Directors to manage sales pipeline, whilst maintaining impeccable administration and updating all activity on HubSpot.
  • Cross-selling and Upselling: Working alongside Account Managers/Directors to identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell Trustmarque's products and services in outreach.
  • Learning and Development: Taking part in company led, Vendor and Udemy development programmes/training to compliment the apprenticeship qualification and benefit the role of SDR.
