are delighted to share an opportunity to join a global, market leader in the metal recycling and sustainability industry!
We're looking to hire a
Fitter
to work at their key site in Avonmouth to assist with the maintenance and day-to-day running of fixed plant machinery, maximising equipment reliability and allowing high level production.
Fortnightly Shift Pattern as follows:
- 2 weeks days (Monday to Friday, 40 hours)
- 2 weeks nights (Monday to Thursday, 40 hours)
Basic Salary: £42,000 with overtime and weekends regularly available - average annual take home £55,000+!
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and assist with plant breakdowns
- Repair and maintenance of machinery, facilities, tools, and equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and performance of equipment
- Provide technical support to supervisors
- Support the wider team in achieving production targets
- Comply with legislations and legal standards
- Work within QHSE regulations
Key Skills
- Excellent organisation skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic welding/fabrication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Required Criteria
- Experience in the medium to heavy industry
- HSE knowledge
- Welding/fabricating experience
- Basic electrical knowledge
