Food Technology Teacher

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Hailsham, on a temporary basis until February 2025. Ideally the person will have experience teaching Food Technology
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop and deliver engaging Food lessons that encourage student participation and collaboration.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and practical skills.
- Assess student projects, providing constructive feedback to guide their technical and creative development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and overall educational experience.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and interests of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, or a relevant qualification in Design and Technology.
- Proven experience in teaching Design and Technology, with proficiency in disciplines such as woodworking, metalworking, and electronics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the educational environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices and technologies.
