I am seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join a Legal 500 respected legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the litigation process, from case inception to resolution. Duties:
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist in case preparation and management, Conduct thorough legal research and provide detailed analysis on various legal issues
- Attend court hearings and assist with trial preparation
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other legal professional
- Assist in managing commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, statements of case, and other court documents, with limited supervision..
- Participate in pre-trial preparations, including drafting witness statements, preparing bundles, and liaising with counsel.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution processes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to client retention and business development efforts.
- Stay abreast of legal developments and regulatory changes relevant to commercial litigation in the UK.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build the firm's profile.
- Provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice to clients.
- Understand the financial and operational aspects of clients' businesses.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks for clients.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
Qualifications
- LLB or equivalent qualification in Law
- Qualified UK solicitor with a valid practising certificate
- Proven experience working in commercial litigation within a reputable law firm
