Job Title: Experienced Qualified Part-Time Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £12.00ph to £13.00ph (depending on experience)

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Mon - Wed 08:45 to 14:30, Thurs 08:45 to 13:30

Contract: Term-time only, 22 hours per week, full academic year

Smart Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Down's Syndrome in Birmingham.

Job Requirements for this Teaching Assistant role in Birmingham:

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in Special Education
  • Demonstrable experience working with students with Autism and Down's Syndrome
  • Ability to support students on a 1:2 basis, including supervision with personal hygiene when necessary
  • Commitment to delivering individualised support and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Reliability, positivity, and a solution-focused mindset

Role Overview: This role involves providing tailored support to students aged 14-25 with complex needs, working closely with a small group on a 1:2 basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing students' educational experiences and personal development throughout the academic year.
