Summary

My high-profile utilities client is looking for a HR Project Manager to join their team Based at their Warwick or London office on a hybrid basis (1 day a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions.

Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities industry, is seeking a highly skilled HR Project Manager to join their team in Stoke. As the HR Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the global People Function portfolio. In this position, you will be responsible for managing and executing key projects and initiatives across the People Function Portfolio, with a focus on supporting the Reward function, implementing a strategic workforce planning tool, and managing the implementation of a new global Background Screening solution.

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience as a Project Manager in a Human Resources Function, ideally within a global HR transformation programme. Experience in the Energy sector would be highly advantageous. As an HR Project Manager, you will need strong project management skills, as well as expertise in project planning, scope definition, and execution. You will work closely with HR leaders, business executives, and other key stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute multiple complex projects across the People Function, utilising various project management methodologies.
  • Develop and execute project plans for key initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks and issues, developing mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee the implementation of HR technology solutions, coordinating with IT and HR teams to integrate new systems.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership, providing updates on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure HR projects comply with relevant laws and regulations in the UK and US.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Project Manager.

- Project Management Qualification: PRINCE2, AgilePM/DSDM/Scrum, PMP, CSM, or similar.

  • Degree level qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working with Procurement and managing end-to-end Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using data to make informed decisions.
  • Understanding of HR functions, processes, policies, and practises.
  • Familiarity with HR technology solutions and the ability to oversee their implementation.
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and organisational priorities.
