Location: Haslingden/Rawtenstall
Job Type: Part-time, Fixed term > July 2025
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:45 am - 4:45 pm (25 hours per week)
Join a vibrant team at a Lancashire County Council state-maintained nursery school. We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to support our after-school club from Easter 2024. This role offers the potential for additional hours and overtime, providing a great opportunity for those looking to expand their experience in early childhood education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the after-school club, creating a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Plan and implement activities that cater to the needs of children after regular school hours.
- Support the emotional and social development of children, ensuring a supportive environment.
- Maintain communication with parents and guardians about their children's activities and development.
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in your care.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in early years or childcare.
- Experience in an early years setting, preferably with after-school care.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Up-to-date paediatric first aid certification would be beneficial.
