Salary: up to 75k | Status: hybrid working or fully remote | Manchester head office.

As a Senior Consultant with a market-leading Microsoft Gold Partner, you will be integral to our delivery process. Your passion for both technology and business, combined with a dedication to continuous improvement, will enable you to maximise value for our clients and yourself. Leveraging your expertise, you will identify customer needs and match them with the best technical solutions to provide maximum benefit. Your deep knowledge of the continually evolving Dynamics and Power Platform stack will allow you to effectively analyse, design, build, test, document, and implement precise solutions.

Working alongside Solution Architects, Project Managers, clients, and other stakeholders, you will use your comprehensive consulting skills to offer insights, challenge concepts, provide guidance, and lead the team towards achieving technology-driven objectives and measurable returns on investment within the scope of Professional Services engagements.

Within the organisation, you will ensure the team remains up to date with the latest advancements in D365 and the Power Platform, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and encouraging the adoption of new practices among colleagues. You will promote behaviours that improve the quality of project delivery for our clients, overseeing and directing continuous improvement efforts within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building Relationships: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders through professional interactions and demonstrated expertise.
  • User Story Development: Write and validate user stories and analyse acceptance criteria to support the design, build, testing, deployment, and documentation of solutions identified during client and Solution Architect sessions.
  • Functional Expertise: Deliver D365 CE first-party applications with proficiency in at least three of them, as well as Power Automate Flows, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Power Apps, utilising Connectors, PowerFX, and AI Builder.
  • Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops and other stakeholder engagements to understand existing processes, challenges, and limitations.
  • Staying Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and licensing conditions for D365 and the Power Platform.
  • Professional Challenge: Ensure that delivered solutions meet engagement goals and constraints by professionally challenging needs, processes, and designs.
  • Project Governance: Manage projects and solutions by overseeing scope, timelines, budget, best practices, and contractual obligations responsibly.
  • Opportunity Identification: Communicate opportunities and scope changes throughout the delivery process to relevant parties.
  • Team Development: Share knowledge, best practices, new insights, and provide coaching and support to colleagues on their professional journeys.
  • Assurance: Support colleagues dealing with complex requirements by providing assurance and guidance.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical efforts to overcome challenges in ongoing projects.
  • Improving Delivery Practices: Identify, design, and implement new methods and best practices to enhance our delivery processes.

What We Need from You...

  • Comprehensive Knowledge of D365 Deployment and Configuration: Experience with at least three of the following: Sales, Customer Service, Omni Channel, Customer Insights Journeys, Customer Insights Data, Field Service, or Project Operations (PSA).
  • Proven Configuration Expertise: Ability to configure D365 solutions to meet specific requirements, budgets, and timelines, ensuring high-quality outcomes and leveraging out-of-the-box features.
  • Business Process Mapping: Skill in aligning business processes and requirements with native D365 capabilities, identifying product gaps, and proposing solutions for functionality extensions.
  • Advanced Power Automate Skills: Proficiency in configuring complex Power Automate Flows, including error handling and reporting.
  • Gap Analysis and Solution Recommendations: Conducting gap analysis between D365 and existing business processes, and recommending workarounds or steps to bridge the gaps.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the delivered solution meets documented functional requirements through rigorous testing, defect resolution, and thorough documentation.
  • Effective Communication and Leadership: Confidence in designing, facilitating, documenting, and leading business process mapping, requirement gathering, training sessions, and product/solution demonstrations with stakeholders.
  • User Story Development: Ability to decompose complex business requirements into user stories, further breaking these into tasks and providing accurate estimates.
  • Project Management Methodologies: In-depth understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies for project delivery, and experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage project backlogs.
  • Organisational Change Management: Familiarity with the principles of Organisational Change Management, specifically the Prosci ADKAR model.
  • Application Lifecycle Management: A mature approach to Application Lifecycle Management, including solution segmentation, environment strategies, and configuration best practices.
  • Framework Experience: Experience with Success by Design and Catalyst frameworks in implementations.
