Overview:
It's an exciting time to be a part of the Service Desk function at XMA.
Service Desk are an integral part of the business, adding value to all service functions for a multi-million pound, award winning business.

This role is part of the Managed Services sector and is based at our Nottingham site as part of the larger team, providing IT support for multiple external customers.

This role will provide the opportunity to learn and experience all aspects of Service Desk functions, through the day-to-day role and regular secondments to other areas of the business.

You will assess reported issues in order to provide adequate resolutions and fixes, including but not limited to the following:

  • Active Directory (user account management)
  • Office 365/Microsoft technologies
  • Software & Hardware faults
  • Networking

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • To troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues
  • Utilise the ITSM tool for ticket logging management
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • Exposure & adherence to managed service processes & procedures
  • Asset Management responsibilities
  • Taking phone calls and responding to live chats

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good Customer Service skills - Focus on the customer experience and build positive rapport
  • Good communication skills - Building good relationships is fundamental to the delivery of services
  • Teamwork and Cooperation - The ability to work flexibly in a team and contribute to a supportive work environment
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn & take responsibility for your own development on a day-to-day
  • Excellent timekeeping skills - Able to attend work and college at required times
  • Ability to display sensitivity and maintain confidentiality

This role will require a satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:
£16,000 per annum.
