Head of Religious Studies

TimePlan Education is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Head of Religious studies to join our partner school based just outside of Cambridge . The position will involve teaching Religious studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 as well as providing guidance for the department, helping to produce schemes of work and timetabling and exam support as required

The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher of Religious Studies and a desire to share their expertise with others. The position requires a willingness to work with students, teachers, and parents in the school. Previous experience in a head of department role would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a full time role to commence in September 2024 and is a permanent role although initially may involve a probationary period of working via TimePlan Education

Qualifications:
Candidates must hold QTS or another recognised teaching qualification as well as experience teaching Religious Studies to Secondary aged pupils - previous head of department or lead teacher experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Must be able to work well with others.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Must be able to adapt to change and grow with the school.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
