Procurement Manager

You will manage a team through the procurement lifecycle by implementing strategies to ensure results. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to be able to motivate a team as well as negotiate the best deals with suppliers. You will be adept at making decisions and solving problems whilst maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Job Title:?Procurement Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Location:?Hemel Hempstead (with regular travel to Bracknell head office and sites in London)

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand project requirements
  • Develop and strategize procurement plans to ensure the completion of the organisation's targets
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best cost savings for the best quality
  • Assess potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies
  • Identify efficient processes for the procurement cycle
  • Generate and analyse reports
  • Engage and motivate the team
  • Monitor training and development opportunities for the team

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a procurement manager within the construction sector
  • Understand the ins and outs of the procurement process and regulatory requirements
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Confident with problem solving and decision making
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to travel to multiple locations
