Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Statutory Accounts Preparation: Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting.
  • Strategic Financial Guidance: Offer strategic financial advice to clients, delivering insights that support their decision-making processes.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • ACCA or ACA Qualified/Near Qualified: Demonstrate your professional qualifications.
  • Experience: Proven track record in an accounting firm.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Salary: Up to £45k, depending on experience.
