We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oracle DBA to join a fast-paced, high-growth, software provider based in Nottingham

Their team has grown significantly in recent years through the expansion of international operations which is driving them to look for their next superstar Oracle DBA to join them on a permanent basis

About the Oracle BDA Role:

The Oracle DBA will be based at their Nottingham office, working alongside the Quality & DevOps Manager. Although working on a hybrid working policy, regular office attendance will be expected following induction and training.

You'll also be given the opportunity to visit client sites to support in various projects and work as and when required

Due to the nature of the clients you'll be working with as part of the role you will be required to undertake Security Vetting.

The Oracle DBA's Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain environments in Azure or on premise.
  • Install and maintain databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Manage Windows and Linux servers, including web applications and certificates.
  • Ensure accurate records of installations and upgrades in AzureDevOps.
  • Oversee the implementation and upgrade of applications both on customer sites and cloud-based, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with security and development teams to ensure secure and patched cloud environments.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Project team.
  • Build and maintain quality relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Proactively pursue learning, training, and self-improvement.
  • Review and recommend improvements to implementation procedures and documentation.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Oracle Database Administration.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 11g, 12c, 18c, or 19c.
  • Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic and JBoss application servers.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server installations and queries.
  • Proficiency with Azure and cloud-based implementations.
  • Experience with Azure deployment automation using ARM/BICEP.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems.
