Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to join our busy calibration laboratory, undertaking the UKAS calibration of Electrical and Mechanical, Torque, Force and Pressure gauges. The position holder must be customer focussed and able to deliver against the business objectives and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the day-to-day calibration activities of the laboratory in line with the requirements of BS EN ISO 17025:2017.
- Maintain measurement results and creation of certificates.
- Advise/ liaise with customers on calibration, sales, or repair requirements.
- Review & sign certificates & reports as an approved signatory.
- Perform calibration tasks in accordance with business procedures.
- Liaise with Senior Management on all aspects of the efficiency of the laboratory & its activities.
Requirements:
- A background in calibration, engineering inspection or manufacturing would be advantageous.
- As a dynamic job position, a background in electrical calibration, electronics or electrical repair would benefit greatly to ensure suitability within all departments.
- An interest in mechanical engineering and an eagerness to learn and excel within the company and comprehension of the accuracy and attention to detail is required to fulfil this position.
- Perform on-site calibrations on customer's premises and to always promote the company image.
