We are working with a well-established, Lexcel accredited law firm who are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the firm as a Float Secretary.
This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday. Standard hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm with one hour for lunch, however, the firm are flexible on these hours should the suitable candidate prefer to work different hours.
The role will involve:
- Provision of secretarial and administrative support across the business, including supporting the Litigation, Commercial, Conveyancing and Private Client Departments
- Audio and copy typing of correspondence and legal documents
- Liaising with existing and potential clients, and third parties via email, telephone and face to face
- Diary management
- Dealing with office payment
- Dealing with incoming correspondence
Suitable candidates will have:
- Previous Litigation secretarial experience
- Ideally experience in either commercial, conveyancing and/or private client work although training can be provided in these fields of law
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Experience of audio typing from digital dictation
- Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
- The ability to work well as part of a team
