About the role

Our Client is a highly successful leader in their field who have been trading for over 30 years and looking to maintain that status with an exciting and challenging growth plan for the next 5 years. With a mix of own label and branded products, they sell to c2000 customers across several countries including the UK. They are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and reliable individual with an excellent eye for detail to join their close-knit team handling all of their technical and regulatory needs. This is a fast-paced and ever-changing role and as such, they are looking for a highly flexible and adaptable candidate who is happy to get involved in all aspects of the role.

The principal duties within this role are:

  • Overseeing the Product Technologist and ensuring all projects are running to time
  • Assessing products for safety and performance
  • Being aware and on top of all global product regulations
  • Putting together SDS and CLP details
  • Overseeing PCN for the required markets
  • Giving technical support to the OEM team during client meetings
  • Managing the supplier manual and onboarding new suppliers
  • Ensuring all factory audits are up to date and any issues resolved
  • Offering technical support and quality assurance advice to all product development projects
  • Ownership of the QC and QA processes and ensuring quality checks are undertaken for all deliveries in
  • Putting together product specs and completing product files for new lines to send to suppliers/manufacturers
  • Ensuring manufacturer consistency, with visits where required
  • Looking after all general technical queries from the wider team and from clients
  • Implementing ISO9001 and beyond

Person Specification:

  • Adaptable and flexible – needs to maintain effectiveness and organisation in a fast moving/changing environment with varying tasks
  • Highly organised in all tasks
  • Ideally needs knowledge of a product development process
  • Can do attitude – proactive and takes initiative
  • Meticulous with attention to detail
  • Ability to work alone and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills with suppliers across the world
  • Ability to handle pressure and be able to multi-task
  • Proven time keeping and efficiency
  • Microsoft Office knowledge – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Prior knowledge of global regulations would be beneficial but not essential
