Senior Information Architect Data Modeller

About the role

The Senior Data Modeller will be responsible for working with Data Product teams to design and model data solutions. Designing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry best practice, enforcing alignment to the Society's technical reference architecture and providing expert knowledge and experience to deliver long-term strategic solutions.

About you

Passionate about delivering high quality data products, you'll have knowledge of data product design and a good understanding of the drivers of value in the data product area.

You'll ideally have experience of JIRA and understand scaled agile ways of working.

You'll also have experience of the following or similar:

  • Experience in data modelling techniques and tooling
  • Database technologies in relation to Lake House / Data Warehousing / Data Lake patterns and relevant experience when handling structured and non-structured data
  • An understanding of data modelling methodology (Kimball, Data Vault)

The following experience would be beneficial:

  • Data engineering experience of the following tools:

  • AWS data tooling such as S3/Glue/Redshift (or relevant experience in another cloud technology)

  • CDC tools Qlik Replicate / Qlik Compose

  • Data Governance - Informatica

  • Strong data related programming skills SQL/Python

  • Experience of working in a Finance related data context.
