Randstad Education is partnered with a distinguished school in Essex to find a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. This role offers a unique chance to work with a team committed to delivering exceptional support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse SEN needs.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and review of EHCP's
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and parents to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Support students with personal care and daily activities as needed.
  • Contribute to behaviour management strategies and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Develop and adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual student needs.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Teaching Assistant role or similar position with SEN students.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of various SEN needs, including specific learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing students' educational experiences.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.

Desirable:

  • Experience with specific SEN programs and interventions.
  • Additional qualifications or training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Therapy, or similar areas.
