Randstad Education is partnered with a distinguished school in Essex to find a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. This role offers a unique chance to work with a team committed to delivering exceptional support to students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse SEN needs.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and review of EHCP's
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and parents to ensure a coordinated approach.
- Support students with personal care and daily activities as needed.
- Contribute to behaviour management strategies and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Develop and adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual student needs.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a Teaching Assistant role or similar position with SEN students.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of various SEN needs, including specific learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing students' educational experiences.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
Desirable:
- Experience with specific SEN programs and interventions.
- Additional qualifications or training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Therapy, or similar areas.
