Finance Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join my client a Primary School based in South London. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary range of £30,000 - £35,000 (pro-rata) for 36 hours per week, working 41 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks).

Role Overview

The Finance Officer will support the academy's finance and procurement functions, reporting to the Head of School and Executive Principal. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Administration

  • Assist in budget planning and expenditure monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and payroll.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and banking transactions.

Resource Management

  • Ensure value for money in procurement and resource management.
  • Support the administration of contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Assist in generating new income streams and writing bids.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Conduct financial reporting and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain strong financial internal controls to prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Prepare information for statutory returns and audits.

Support and Collaboration

  • Provide financial support and advice to staff with delegated budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and the TEFAT Finance Team.
  • Assist in implementing finance-related policies and procedures.

General Duties
