- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time | 8:30am – 5:30pm | Monday to Friday (Office-Based)
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function in a newly created, standalone role. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have preferably have previous experience working within children's services and had safer recruitment training. You will be responsible for all HR matters including recruitment, training, employee relations, compliance, and policy development. You'll be the go-to person for all things HR and play a crucial role in shaping a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Management & Operations
- Lead the day-to-day running of the HR department
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and staff
- Oversee recruitment: advertising, scheduling, interviewing, and onboarding
- Maintain employee records and ensure legal compliance
- Manage employment contracts and documents
- Coordinate new starter processes including DBS checks
- Support performance reviews, disciplinary, and grievance procedures
- Partner with leadership on HR strategy aligned with business goals
- Monitor and ensure compliance with UK employment laws
- Liaise with other departments and attend weekly HR meetings

Qualifications & Experience:
- CIPD Level 3 or above
- Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Solid HR experience, ideally within care, social services, or charity sectors
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law
- Skilled in managing end-to-end recruitment and HR systems
- Experience handling employee benefits and payroll (desirable)
- Safer Recruitment training
- Experienced working in children's services preferred

Requirements:
- A Full valid UK driving licence
- Willing to undergo a DBS check (or already holds one)
