NEW POSITION - Our client who deal with general freight and specialist high value forwarding are looking for a bright, experienced and confident business development person to develop new and existing business within the company.
You will be contacting new and existing customers to gain new business and negotiate rates and terms, you need to be commercially aware and have a strong knowledge of the freight industry to keep up to date with competitors.
Duties include:
- Offering quotes and following up on the quotations
- Liaising the the operations manager with any updates / feedback on rates and quotes
- Keep database up to date
- Face to face meetings with new and existing clients
This position requires candidates from a freight background, either within sales or if you have a pricing background in freight!
